Individual Donations

A large portion of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh's funding comes from individuals who are dedicated to our mission of eliminating substandard housing. Each and every donation supports our mission of building houses and building hope in partnership with families in need.

Cash or Checks

You can donate money by sending a check to the address below, or you can make a donation by credit card right now by clicking on the PayPal "Donate" button.

Matching Gifts

Many corporations will match employee or retiree gifts. Local corporations such as IBM, Central Hudson, and Pfizer will match each dollar that their employees donate to charitable organizations. You may be able to double or triple your donation. Check with your human resources department to see if your company has a similar program. Obtain a Matching Gifts Form, fill out and sign the donor section, and send in the form with your donation. Some companies have an on-line matching gift procedure.

Memorial Gifts

Honor a special person by making a memorial gift in his or her name to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh. We will send a card acknowledging your thoughtful gift to the appropriate person and also send you an acknowledgement for your records. Be sure to include the name and address of the person who should receive this card with your donation. Celebration Gifts

As you plan gifts for family and friends this year, consider a gift that keeps on giving long after the wedding, anniversary, birthday, graduation, holiday or other special event. Upon receipt of your contribution, we will send an acknowledgment card indicating that you have made a gift to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh in honor of the person you are celebrating. Be sure to include the name and address of the person who will receive the card. Holiday Gifts From the Heart

Give a gift that you can be proud of for years to come, one that touches the hearts of children and families in need - a Gift from the Heart! Your tax-deductible “Gift from the Heart” contribution to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh is a unique, heart- warming contribution offered in honor of someone you love. Your loved ones will receive a personalized gift card.  Download the Gift from the Heart brochureand select one of these three special holiday cards to send.  Habitat must receive all requests by December 20th to ensure that your loved ones receive their cards by Christmas.

Stocks or Property

Your assets can be used to greatly enhance our ability to build more than houses in Newburgh and its surrounding areas. To arrange a gift of stock or property, please contact the Habitat office at (845) 568-6035.

Planned Giving

Become part of Habitat for Humanity's Legacy Society by making a planned gift and declaring your commitment to eliminating poverty housing. The most common method of making a planned gift is naming Habitat of Humanity of Greater Newburgh in your Last Will and Testament and donating a specific dollar amount or percentage of your estate.

Other planned gifts include Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Charitable Lead Trusts and Retained Life Estates. Always remember to contact your financial advisor or attorney for advice.
