The 12th Annual Walk for Housing was a great success this year, with walkers taking a new route through the E. Parmenter Street Development and up into Washington Heights, on a beautiful day. We were joined by over 600 concerned community members, businesses, volunteers, and partner families who helped raise awareness of the critical need for safe, decent, and affordable housing in our community. Thanks to our incredible supporters, we raised $40,000 to continue Habitat's home-building mission!

Highlights of the day included the Adan Family Mariachi Band on Monument Street, Jeff Haynes and the Newburgh Percussion Ensamble, acoustic music by Osinski & Henderson, a raffle drawing for a Sharp flat screen TV, as well as an original painting by Shawn Dell Joyce, and face painting for children, provided by the Liberty Partnership Program.

A very special thanks to all of our friends, volunteers, and supporters! We couldn't have done it without you, and hope to see you again next year!
