A Very Special Thank You to all walkers, volunteers, sponsors and participants in the 9th Annual Walk for Housing
On Sunday, April 27, 2008, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh was joined by over 1,000 walkers, volunteers, friends and families for the 9th annual walk for decent and affordable housing. Habitat for Humanity's partner families proudly led the 5K walk past 11 completed Habitat homes and 2 current projects in the City of Newburgh. Raising over $73,000 to support Habitat's work, this year's event was Habitat's most successful ever!
All participants enjoyed a fun-filled day in beautiful Downing Park that was highlighted by:
- Free rides on the RE/MAX hot air balloon
- Free face painting
- Balloons
- Musical performances by Soul Custody, Trebel in Paradise, and The Chills
