Completed Projects
105 Washington Street
After the great success of 58 Henry Ave, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans awarded Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh and the Hudson Valley Chapter of Thrivent with another Thrivent Builds grant to fund the construction of a Habitat house at 105 Washington Street.
This property was generously donated to Habitat Newburgh by Frederick Watson, a local Newburgh businessman and president of Watson Services, Inc. Volunteer groups worked on this site through the summer and fall of 2007, and on December 1, 2007, Habitat held the dedication for 105 Washington Street, home of the Mejia Family. Click here to visit the Thrivent Builds Newburgh website.
The dedication ceremony was followed by a "Let There Be Light" Interfaith Celebration at AME Zion Church in Newburgh. The uplifting event gathered more than 100 Habitat supporters to celebrate the important work that is being done in our community, and the community that is making this movement possible.
