Completed Projects

334-344 Liberty Street

The Liberty Street Project was Habitat Newburgh's first new construction project. With land generously donated by Joseph & Phyllis Weisblatt, Habitat was able to build 6 new homes for 6 deserving families. An empty lot was transformed and adjacent properties, which had been abandoned and unwanted for years, were finally sold.

This project would not have been possible without the many partnering organizations that helped sponsor and contribute to the construction of these houses. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh would like to specifically acknowledge the many sponsors who made this project possible: PresbyBuild, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans (formerly Aid Association for Lutherans), Orange County Association of Realtors, and the unions who donated hours of professional labor — the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #363, Plumbers & Steamfitters Local #373, and the Painters & Allied Trades Local #155.
