81 Carson Avenue

81 Carson Avenue was Habitat Newburgh's first handicap-livable house. Designed to conform to the needs of a wheelchair-bound 14 year-old with brittle bone disease, this house was equipped with a wheelchair lift and a custom bathroom. Few volunteers will ever forget the day of this very special house dedication, when the young girl used the lift for the first time and experienced the independence she always hoped for.
